I will raise a virtuous branch for David.
Who will reign as a true king .
One day we will not be just faded.
We will grasp eternity’s golden ring.

He will reign as true king and be wise.
Practising honesty and integrity in the land.
How this will happen we can only surmise.
It is buried deep in time’s shifting sand.

And this is the name he shall be called.
The Lord our integrity.
Our many problems will be solved.
His power and majesty all mighty.

But for the time being we must patiently wait.
And stare disconsolately at the closed gate.

Surely he will come
