If your eye is sound.
Your whole body will be filled with light.
We do not know wither we are bound.
Truth remains tantalisingly out of sight.
If your eye is diseased.
Your whole body will be in darkness.
We wonder how happiness can be seized.
But it is in our inwardness.
Today I looked far over the Wolds.
Pure light reflecting off the lake.
Thus contentment unfolds.
Leaving regret in its wake.
To look upon natural beauty.
Is never a dreary duty.

The sight of the eye
Is sound looking at nature
And the heart is whole
