This child , destined to be a sign of contradiction.
And your own soul a sword will pierce.
Heralding crucifixion and ascension.
Of salvation , an infinite source.Conceived in such hope.
Which died at the foot of the cross.
How could she possibly cope.
Or face alone her loss.

But despair gives way to joyfulness.
Mourning to meeting.
Despair to happiness.
Farewell to new greeting.

Thus for a time our unions are sundered.
But all partings will eventually  be ended.

Lady of sorrow.
Of great hope and of  despair
And redemption
