Abram was seventy five years old.
When he left Haran.
Or so we are told.
To a land of fruitfulness from a land that was barren.I am struck by how old he was.
Yet ready to obey a call to adventure.
He did not question or pause.
The command was the lure.

So Abram went.
As the Lord told him.
He did not go on his own accord, he was sent.
This was no self centred whim.

If we announced we were up sticks and going.
Would people believe our calling or think us raving

Abram left his own homeland
For the true unknown
