He has delivered us from the domain of darkness.
And transferred us to the kingdom of his son.
In whom we have redemption from all darkness.
But only by the mercy of his son.

We are afflicted by anger , laziness.
Pride ,resentment and ambition .
Only Jesus saves us by his kindness.
Only he frees us from temptation.

Empires rise and fall.
But Christ the King remains.
Saving us from humankind’s fall.
He always was and is and reigns.

Everything else is transient.
He, we hope, is permanent.
