The people dwelling in darkness.
Have seen a great light.
And for those dwelling in death’s shadowness.
On them has dawned a new light.

Today is Orthodox Christmas.
One Christmas does end.
And begins another Christmas.
Why should Christmas end.

Christmas isn’t a day.
It is for all time.
An everlasting hopeful ray.
For all time .

A day of light.
The beginning of the end of night.
