Jesus called the twelve.
And sent them out two by two.
We ask our spirit to delve.
We are sent out too.

He charged them to take nothing for their journey.
Except a staff.
We too are on a spiritual journey.
Our faith our sturdy staff.

So the disciples went out.
And proclaimed that people should repent.
We may not have the courage to ourselves to go out.
But we may at least repent.

We too are sent on a journey.
A questing spiritual journey.
