God raised him on the third day.
And caused him to appear.
Amazingly that day is also this day.
Now we need not fear.

The great silence over the earth was yesterday.
Christ is risen , he is risen indeed.
A new dawn , hope, a new day.
New life , the sown seed.

We walk along day dreaming.
Christ is on the road to Emmaus talking.
But we are barely listening.
O dear, what are we missing.

But when today we broke bread at communion.
For one brief moment , we were listening and in union.
