Give your servant an understanding mind.
That I may discern between good and evil.
May we above all be kind.
And know in our hearts what is really real.

Solomon didn’t ask for riches, honour.
Or long life.
But only for God’s honour.
And eternal not this life.
And God gave him high everlasting honour.

For this God gave him everything.
Long life and his temple.
Will we give away all for the everlasting.
Or will we pause and before truth tremble.

May we just ask to do what is right.
Because in our hearts we know what is right.
