Stay dressed for action,
And keep your lamps burning.
We cannot deal in mere abstraction.
Are are own hearts burning.

Are we ready.
For the Lord to enter.
Is our faith strong and steady
Do we take it at a trot or a canter.

One day the knock will come.
What will we be thinking.
Will we provide a welcome.
With sincere belief and praying.

One day we will no longer just doubt and sigh.
But we will most certainly die.
