His sceptre of power rests upon his shoulder.

And his name will be called Messenger of great counsel.

Life need not get forever colder.

Of this with confidence can we tell.

God who in the Nativity established all religion.

Grant that we may be numbered among those who belong.

We make this rendition.

In grateful song.

O sing a new song to the Lord.

O sing to the Lord , bless his name.

He can free us if we want from all discord.

For he is an eternal flame.

Christmas is ending.

And salvation is coming.
