If you cry out for discernment.
If you look for it as if it were silver.
You will start your ascent.
And be carried on an ever flowing spiritual river.

You will then understand what the fear of the Lord is.
And discover the knowledge of God.
That we will be his.
And be for ever awed.

For the Lord himself is the giver of wisdom.
From his mouth issue knowledge and discernment.
We can just wait for his voice and be calm.
And avoid any spiritual descent.

He keeps his help for honest men.
He is the shield of the ways of honourable men.
