Go to the crossroads.
Invite anyone you can find to the wedding.
Of our own making we make heavy loads.
Throughout our lives we are merely dreading.

We may be the last to receive an invitation.
But it will come anyway.
We just need patience, our train will arrive at the station.
Even if by then we’ve gone grey.

But we had better have the right wedding clothes.
Or we could be thrown out.
So be prepared , who knows.
It won’t last for ever, this drought.

And meanwhile accept those invitations.
They may have interesting foundations.
