Be like men waiting .
For their master to return from the wedding feast.
The sun is setting.
And I look to the East.
The moon hangs seemingly immobile.
Unmoved by all our worries.
Here in its solitude is something noble.
Unconcerned by our stories.
It has not changed for a billion years.
It is utterly stable and calm.
It does not express joy or weep tears.
Just staring at it is a soothing balm.
But one day it will die however now steady.
But unchanging, unconcerned, it will be ready.
……
The moon stands alone
Unworried by our worries
Why not be the same
……
