You who raised a corpse from death
And from Hades, by the word of the most high.
But you give us eternal breath.
Merely by us raising a prayerful sigh.

You who brought kings down to destruction.
And famous men from their bed.
But us, we pray to resurrection.
We must do it , not merely assume it is said.

The world is fraught,
We need compassion.
God’s word sought.
Releasing us from temptation.

For the word is there.
It really is clear.
